If you get this error trying to mount from Linux 2.6 to Solaris 10: <tt>nfs mount: mount: /mysolarismountpoint: Not owner</tt> It's because NFSv4 support in Linux is broken. Force Solaris to use NFSv3 with either of these methods: * Add this line to file /etc/default/nfs: <br /><tt>NFS_CLIENT_VERSMAX=3</tt> * Use this NFS mount -o option (or /etc/vfstab option): <tt>vers=3</tt> For example here's my /etc/vfstab entry: <br /><tt>server1:/netdrive - /netdrive nfs - no nosuid,rw,soft,rsize=4096,wsize=4096,vers=3</tt> [[User:Danx|Danx]] 20:25, 16 November 2006 (PST)
