I am an Isilon Corporate Advisory Engineer (CAE) with Dell EMC. The main focus of my job is technical presales support and enablement, which spans a very wide range of activities including; assisting with solutions designs and sales strategies; developing and delivering internal training; collaboration with product marketing and engineering groups on product features and implementation details; and some occasional tactical coding. My particular areas of expertise these days are in scale-out storage performance, adapting specific applications to work on EMC Isilon storage, NFS in general. I am a 13-year veteran of Sun Microsystems and before that I spent some years variously immersed in industrial process controls, software portability engineering, and systems integration.
